Royal Purple Floral Brocade Fabric with Gold Zari Weave

Rich royal purple brocade woven with an all-over design of large gold zari blooms. Each bloom has a small purple bud at its centre and is framed by scrolling leaves and vines. The metallic gold threads stand out against the deep purple ground and give the fabric a lustrous, regal sheen.

The fabric has a smooth, full-bodied hand that falls in soft folds. It is perfect for sewing a Moroccan takchita or kaftan for weddings, henna nights and Eid. A narrow plain purple edge runs along the selvedge, and a finer gold woven border is visible along one side.
